Yes, Men Really Do Enjoy Disney Cruises!

Think a Disney cruise is all princesses, character hugs, Mickey ears, and Disney music? These three guys thought so, too—until they sailed aboard the Disney Fantasy.
Before boarding the Disney Fantasy, these three guys weren't entirely convinced a Disney cruise was for them. They expected princesses, hugs from characters, those silly Mickey ears, and Disney music playing everywhere.
And while they certainly found plenty of Disney magic onboard, they also discovered there was much more to the experience than they expected.
They were impressed by the outstanding service. They loved watching their families have the time of their lives. And it didn't take long before they learned their way around the ship and started discovering their own favorite parts of cruising with Disney.
"Wait...This Is Included?"
The youngest dad in the group was taking his very first cruise.
Once onboard, he started asking questions like, "This is included? And this?"
It didn't take long for dining to become one of his favorite parts of the cruise. He loved having the opportunity to try new foods he had never tasted before—and quickly discovered the convenience of ordering room service.
Those chicken wings and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars were ordered more than once!
He also discovered another benefit of a Disney cruise: both of his children loved spending time in the kids clubs. That gave Mom and Dad a few hours to themselves to grab an extra coffee, enjoy a few cookies, and soak up a little quiet time together.
Fishing, Island Time, and Adult-Only Escapes
Another guy in the group decided to try a fishing excursion during the cruise—and had a fantastic time.
He especially enjoyed the experienced local guides, who took the group to several fishing spots where the fish were biting.
His review?
"Well worth the price."
He also had high praise for Disney Cruise Line's island destinations and especially enjoyed discovering the adult-only areas. With convenient island transportation, getting away for some adults-only relaxation was easier than he expected.
A Disney Cruise Through a Grandpa's Eyes
The oldest guy in our group discovered that one of the best parts of cruising with Disney wasn't necessarily an attraction or activity—it was spending time with his grandchildren.
Some of his favorite moments happened right on the verandah.
Imagine sharing breakfast delivered by room service, making sure there's extra chocolate milk for the grandkids, and watching the sunrise over the ocean together.
Their connecting staterooms made the experience even better. The stateroom host was able to open the partition between their verandahs, creating additional space for both families to enjoy together.
Sometimes, those simple moments become the memories you treasure most.
"I Had No Idea I Would Enjoy Disney at Sea"
By the end of the cruise, the experience had definitely changed some opinions.
"I had no idea I would enjoy the Disney experience at sea. All the sodas and ice cream are included, and a burger is less than a phone call away."
And then there were the shows.
All three agreed that Disney's Broadway-style productions were really, really good. They were caught smiling and clapping throughout the performances—with popcorn in hand, of course.
Fun Tip: If you enjoy popcorn during the shows, look for Disney Cruise Line's refillable popcorn buckets. You purchase the bucket and then can typically receive discounted refills during your cruise. Disney sometimes allows eligible refillable popcorn buckets to be used across participating Disney destinations, so it's worth asking about the current refill policy during your vacation.
So, Would They Cruise With Disney Again?
That was the big question.
All three said absolutely.
In fact, they put down future cruise placeholders before leaving the ship.
Not bad for three guys who boarded thinking a Disney cruise might not really be for them!
Is a Disney Cruise Right for Your Family?
One of the things I love about Disney Cruise Line is that a family vacation doesn't mean everyone has to enjoy the exact same things.
The kids can spend time in the youth clubs. Adults can escape to quieter spaces. Someone can head off on an excursion. Grandparents can slow down and soak up time with the grandkids. And everyone can come back together for dinner, entertainment, and those little moments that become favorite family memories.
That's part of what makes a Disney cruise such a wonderful option for multi-generational families.
