Where Disney Magic Meets the Treetops (Literally)

People love to ask me, “Don’t you get tired of going to Disney?” Honestly, not even a little. One of the things that keeps me coming back is how Disney always manages to surprise me with something new whether it’s a hidden experience, a unique perspective, or a resort stay that feels completely different from anything I’ve done before. That brings me to one of my favorite memories of 2025: A night in the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. These incredible rooms are tucked away in a peaceful, wooded setting, right in Lake Buena Vista, but feel worlds away from the hustle of the parks. I love that something so unique exists right inside the Disney bubble.
Staying in these villas was unlike any Disney resort experience I’d had before, and it quickly became one of my favorite resort stays to date. It’s proof that no matter how many times you visit, Disney still has plenty of magic left to discover. Interested in staying in a treehouse while on vacation? Here is everything you need to know, and I am here to help you along the way!
These villas sleep up to nine guests, which is perfect for families, friends traveling together (girls’ weekend, Bachelorette, reunion, etc.), and anyone who loves to try a unique resort experience like me.
There are 3 bedrooms and while they are all different, they are all very comfy! Each bedroom also has a flat screen TV.
· Bedroom 1: a King Bed and an attached private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. This bathroom is one of the most beautiful rooms in the whole villa!
· Bedroom 2: a Full-Size Bed
· Bedroom 3: Bunk beds
There is a full kitchen in each villa and after checking in and going through the kitchen, we agreed that this kitchen was better stocked than most Air BnB’s we have stayed in. Disney makes sure you have everything you need and then some!
There is no need to worry about seating and finding room for everyone in your treehouse! There is both a living room and dining room / sitting area. The living room has an additional pull-out sofa bed as well. For additional bathroom and laundry rooms, you will find these just off the living room area too.
One of my favorite features of the treehouse is the beautiful deck with furniture for outdoor seating and enjoying a meal if you wish. There is a grill at the base of the treehouse if you feel like grilling and staying in rather than going out to eat.
Our Treehouse had beautiful views of the waterways, but whether it’s the woods, river, or the Saratoga grounds, the views can’t be beat! I did not go past one treehouse and think that someone on this property might not like their view. My bedroom had floor to ceiling windows, and I really couldn’t get enough of the view. It was so cozy and relaxing especially on a rainy day!
I was worried about navigating transportation given the treehouses are in a more remote location and I did not have a rental car, but it was easy! Bell Services drove us (and our luggage) on a golf cart and dropped us right in front of our treehouse. On the way, Cast Member Fred pointed out walking paths, our closest bus station, and the closest ferry dock.
· Bus Transportation: Complimentary. An internal resort bus will take you to the main bus terminal so you can hop on a bus to the theme parks or Disney Springs.
· Ferry Transportation: Complimentary. There is a ferry that will take you to the main building at Saratoga Springs or Disney Springs.
There are also walking paths to the above! The surrounding area is beautiful and on a nice day, the walk is worth it.
The section of the resort reserved for the Treehouse Villas is also home to one of the only 24/7 heated pools on Disney property open all day and night!
If you have not added this to your Disney Bucket List, do it! This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime stays that will create memories that are talked about for years to come!
