Are you wanting to experience Walt Disney World at its most magical peak, then the holiday season is one that you will not want to miss! Each of the four theme parks will transform with cheerful décor, unique themed treats, characters in their holiday best, and special seasonal entertainment. Here’s what your family can look forward to during your holiday visit:

Magic Kingdom

  • The park feels even more like home with classic holiday decorations—wreaths, garlands, and an enormous Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A.

  • Enjoy special holiday music, themed treats, and festive photo ops throughout the park (don’t forget those special holiday Magic Shots with your PhotoPass Photographers).

  • Characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and more often appear in their Christmas outfits during the day.

  • You won’t want to miss the holiday-themed Cinderella Castle projections that transform the castle into an entertaining holiday masterpiece.

  • (Note: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event on select nights, offering exclusive entertainment, characters, treats, exclusive merchandise, and more!)

Hollywood Studios

  • Step into a nostalgic holiday scene with retro decorations and mid-century flair across the park (think grandma’s hold decorations!).

  • Make sure to catch “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration”—there may be a special holiday twist you weren’t expecting!

  • Watch as Sunset Boulevard glows with projections and music during Sunset Seasons Greetings, transforming the Tower of Terror into a magical holiday canvas.

  • Holiday themed snacks and festive cocktails are available throughout the park.

  • (Note: Disney Jollywood Nights is a separate ticketed event on select evenings, with exclusive shows, entertainment, characters, themed parties, exclusive merchandise, and more!)

EPCOT

  • The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays celebrates traditions from all around the world and you get to be a part of it all.

  • Sample holiday dishes and drinks from the Holiday Kitchen kiosks located around World Showcase.

  • On select evenings, enjoy the Candlelight Processional, featuring a celebrity narrator, choir, and orchestra—an unforgettable experience and one of my highly recommended events.

  • Santa Claus is coming to town and you can give him a visit at the Odyssey Pavilion.

  • Look for storytellers in each World Showcase pavilion sharing their country’s holiday traditions; a wonderful experience for the adults and kids together.

Animal Kingdom

  • Stand in awe at beautiful holiday décor inspired by nature and cultures from around the world.

  • The Merry Menagerie on Discovery Island is an absolute must see—adorable, life-size animal puppets and musicians spreading cheer as they interact with park goers.

  • At night, the Tree of Life Awakenings – Holiday Edition lights up with wintry projections and music. (You may need to get a cup of hot chocolate from Joffrey’s as you watch and enjoy the show!)

  • Keep an eye out for your favorite Disney characters in their festive safari attire!

Disney Springs

  • Enjoy a walk through the Christmas Tree Stroll, featuring themed trees inspired by Disney movies and parks. Or…make it a fun family competition to see who can find all of the trees first! Remember, there is a small prize when you finish.

  • Keep an eye out for Santa Claus for meet & greets and photo ops.

  • Savor seasonal snacks, festive cocktails, and limited-time holiday treats at many Disney Springs restaurants and kiosks.

Disney Resorts

  • Holiday decorations are in full swing at the resorts. Including the tallest and most beautiful Christmas trees you’ve ever seen!

  • Some resorts have larger than life chocolate sculptures, while others have extravagant gingerbread displays.

  • The holiday season is the best time to check out all of the resorts on property to see how they are celebrating.

The holidays at Walt Disney World are extra magical — from the characters in their holiday best to festive treats and dazzling decorations everywhere you look, it’s truly the most wonderful time to visit.
