“Avengers Assemble!” Whether you’ve been following the Avengers from the very beginning or are just discovering the Marvel Universe, there’s a vacation experience that will make you feel like a true hero. From thrilling rides and immersive lands at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, to Marvel-themed dining and special events on Disney Cruise Line, and even a hotel dedicated entirely to your favorite heroes, these destinations bring the action, adventure, and excitement of Marvel to life. Get ready to assemble your ultimate Marvel vacation with me as your trusted travel advisor guiding the way. This blog will cover theme parks and hotels. Be on the lookout for Part 2 covering Marvel experiences at sea!
1. Avengers Campus in California
Located in Disney’s California Adventure, Avengers Campus is one of the park’s newest areas and truly brings your favorite Marvel moments to life! The land is packed with rides, shows, and interactive experiences that let you step into the Marvel Universe.
My Must-Do Experiences:
· Spider-Man: Web Slingers
· Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!
· “Black Panther: Wakanda Welcome” – Experience a special show featuring Black Panther and the people of Wakanda.
· Enjoy unique, oversized, and inventive Marvel-themed dishes at Pym Test Kitchen.
Coming Soon: New attractions and experiences continue to expand the campus! As your travel advisor, I will keep you in the loop on all the new and exciting updates.
Travel Tip: Keep an eye out for character encounters! You might meet Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain America, Loki, and Ant-Man roaming the campus. They’re perfect for photos and autographs. During my last visit I had the chance to meet Black Widow and Wasp!
2. Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris
Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris brings the Marvel Universe to Europe! While it’s smaller than the California campus, it offers unique shows, attractions, and character experiences that you won’t find anywhere else.
While some attractions are inspired by the California campus, others have a twist. For example, the classic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been reimagined as an Avengers/Iron Man-themed roller coaster, keeping the same thrilling track but sending riders on an action-packed mission with Iron Man. It is amazing and as an Iron Man fan, I highly recommend!
There are also Marvel-themed snacks served in this area including this cute Groot cookie!
3. Disney’s Marvel Hotel in Disneyland Paris
For a fully immersive Marvel experience, this hotel is a must-visit for superhero fans! I did not stay here during my Disneyland Paris visit and I have regrets! From the moment you enter, you’re surrounded by Marvel magic, with themed décor featuring props and costumes from the movies, interactive experiences, photo ops, and more.
My Favorite Features:
· Superhero-Themed Rooms: Sleep in rooms inspired by characters such as Iron Man and Spider-Man with themed décor, bedding, and artwork.
· Restaurants: Enjoy dining experiences with Marvel flair, including casual and table-service options that bring the superhero world to your plate.
· Proximity to the Parks: The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Disneyland Paris, making it easy to hop between Avengers Campus and your room for breaks or a midday recharge. Staying here also gives you early access to the parks as a bonus!
· Lounges & Specialty Drinks: Relax in lounges featuring Marvel-inspired cocktails, including the signature Doctor Strange-themed drink, perfect for sipping between adventures. This drink is only available for a couple of hours each day because of how elaborate the presentation is for anyone who orders this fun drink. Cast Members will bring an ancient “sling ring” cabinet to your table and teleport your drink from the iconic Nepalese temple. As the guest who orders the drink, you will need to assist and create the portal! This signature cocktail titled “Kamar-Taj” is made with Roku gin, Paragon timur berry, kiwi, green apple cordial, green tea syrup, lime and egg whites. It was a very fun and interactive experience, and most importantly, the drink is delicious!
The next time I visit Disneyland Paris, I will stay here!
I genuinely loved my experiences at these parks and resorts so much that they inspired me to hop aboard Disney Cruise Line and see how the Marvel theming done so perfectly on land comes to life at sea!
I couldn’t wait to experience firsthand how those immersive details, storytelling, and larger-than-life moments would translate from the parks to a cruise ship. Be on the lookout for part two of this series to learn more.
