Looking to add the perfect touch of Disney magic to your holiday season? On select nights in November and December, Magic Kingdom transforms into a winter wonderland during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP)—a special ticketed event filled with festive cheer, shorter wait times, and exclusive holiday fun.

With your party ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m., with the official event running from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. From unique character greetings and limited-time treats to dazzling entertainment and festive ride overlays, this after-hours event is brimming with holiday magic. Guests can enjoy:

  • Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show

  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (with a special appearance by Santa Claus!)

  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show

My Experience at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

In 2024, I began my magical evening by meeting Jack and Sally at Town Square Theater—one of the rare character greetings offered during the event. Pro tip: some popular character meet-and-greets stop accepting new guests after 11:30 p.m., so plan your must-dos early!

I also picked up my complimentary Christmas ornament in a lively backstage area complete with a DJ and stilt performers, which set the tone for the night. One of my first stops was the Emporium for party-exclusive merchandise—spirit jerseys, pins, and more. If these are on your wish list, shop early before items sell out!

Of course, no holiday party is complete without festive treats. The event includes complimentary cookies and drinks, and you’ll find plenty of exclusive seasonal snacks. I couldn’t resist the adorable gingerbread house popcorn bucket, which quickly became a favorite souvenir.

Another perk? Lower ride wait times. Attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had posted waits of 20 minutes—but I often found the actual wait was even shorter. It’s a wonderful balance of rides, treats, and entertainment.

Entertainment Highlights

The Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is an absolute must-do. For the full magical snowfall experience, grab a spot along Main Street, U.S.A. You’ll see beloved characters dressed for the season and even Santa Claus himself.

In Tomorrowland, Club Tinsel and the Disney Jr. Jingle Jam keep the energy high with dance parties for all ages. Don’t miss Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration and Frozen’s Holiday Surprise, each offering extra sparkle to your evening.

Ready to Celebrate the Season?

Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party sell out quickly, and prices vary by date. If you’re ready to unwrap the magic of the holidays at Walt Disney World, I’d love to help you plan a stress-free, unforgettable vacation.
