I wear multiple hats, and sometimes Mickey ears, at Wishes Family Travel, as a referring agent, content creator, and operations staff member.
As an education expert, single mother of two, and world traveler, I love helping families from all backgrounds experience the wonders and joy of travel. Specifically, I hold a doctorate in education from Harvard University, with an emphasis on child development. I've also written lots books and articles on how families engage in their children's learning. I am a firm believer that travel can be a transformative learning experience for children and a deep bonding experience for families. I also believe that ALL children and families deserve to experience the world, regardless of their income level or learning challenges and accessibility needs. My children and I are living examples of this -- traveling together to Central America, Africa, and Southeast Asia for service trips, adventure travel, and cultural connection, but on an affordable budget and with many accommodations along the way. When I'm not traveling, I live in the Bay Area, enjoy a career in philanthropy, and snuggle often with my Yorkie-Poo named Newton.
