1820 Society

While lots of people know about the incredible kids’ programs and youth activities Disney Cruise Line offers, not everyone is aware of Disney’s 1820 Society. The 1820 Society is for sailors who are 18-20 years old and meeting times can be found in the Disney Navigator app. The first scheduled get together on the four-night cruise was after the Sail Away Party. Everyone met in the Cove to introduce themselves and grab coffee together. After this initial meet up, everyone exchanged numbers within the Disney Cruise Line app and formed a group chat to coordinate additional meetups for bingo and karaoke.

Throughout the rest of the cruise, there were lots of impromptu 1820 meetings throughout the ship during crafts, trivia, and drawing as well as the scheduled ones for lunch at Cabanas or ice cream.  On the last day of the voyage, everyone met up one last time for the pre-scheduled farewell at Cove in the adults only area on the ship. Here, an entertainment host for the cruise, Camoren, joined us as we shared our favorite memories from the trip and drank tea. Overall, the 1820 Society is a great opportunity for young adults who have aged out of the kids’ clubs to meet new friends and have fun on a Disney cruise!
